From perfection to procrastination
Perfection can often be a hidden passion and productivity killer. Since perfection is a picture of what an ideal world would look like, it is often a perspective that frames the world around us to be always "not quite right".
Do you put off dreams or projects until the right time? The belief that such a "right time" even exists is debilitating to productivity. The lights won't always turn green and the cars won't always give way as you drive from point A to point B. The world doesn't scheme to stop you - but the world doesn't scheme to make you wonderful either. It's up to you.
On the other hand, if your perfection is cast as a dream to attain, rather than a requirement to fulfil, then it can be the driving force of fruitful and productive efforts, happiness, and passion.
But don't wait for the world to give you the green light. Follow your own lights.
